Akihabara: Electric Town

I find myself in Tokyo's high tech district today. COmptuers, cameras, TV, MP3 players, anything with buttons and batteries finds it's home here.
I'm sitting in a rather unique cafe at the moment. "Lamm's Maid Cafe." It's a small restaurant in the cenre of Akihabara, they serve curry and desrt mostly. What makes it unique? All the waitresses are wearing maid costumes. It's pretty funny.
Before my male readers get a nosebleed I should mention they are real maid outfits, not the stuff sickos get at marital aid stores. The skirts reach the floor boys, quit drooling.
There was a half-hour wait to be seated, which I did not know about or I would have gone elsewhere.
The "Cheese Curry" is great though, and it's funny watching maids running back and forth across the cafe. They are way too busy for the number of maids working.
It's one of those times you have to wonder if taking pictures is acceptable. I'm not good enough with Japanese to ask, and I doubt they would appreciate it even if it were allowed, poor maids are being run ragged.
It reminds me of the "Cosplay Cafe" I read about online once. I wonder wehre that is. It would be fun to eat there soemtime. Maybe when Bryan comes to visit.
